Description

Robert Creuzbaur created this map to show land surveyed for the Deaf and Dumb Asylum. Now in Austin, the school has been renamed Texas School for the Deaf. In the late 19th century, the state of Texas granted 101,674 acres of public land to build a residential and educational facility for the state's deaf population. In the bottom right it includes a description of the surrounding land, as well as the locations of two springs.
