Texas Landscape is a scenic painting done by artist Hale Bolton. He moved with his family from Iowa to Texas in 1896. Bolton worked with noted Texas artist Frank Reaugh before moving to St. Louis, and eventually to Europe, to continue his studies. He preferred western subjects and executed them in either pastel or oil. He returned to Dallas in 1914 and was later awarded a grand prize by the California Society of Art.
